Facebook wants to know if you're dating

(CNN) - There's no "Hey, baby, what's your sign?" button. But if you have a friend with a mysteriously undefined love life, Facebook may have just become a little more like a singles bar at closing time.

A new "Ask" feature lets you ping friends who haven't set their Relationship Status and ask them what's up. Facebook has been quietly rolling out the feature for testing in select countries, including the United States.

Clicking on "Ask" brings up a dialogue box with the text, "Let (your friend) know why you're asking for (his/her) relationship status." It provides space to expand upon your request -- say, to invite them out for drinks.

A Facebook spokeswoman said that similar "Ask" buttons have been available on mobile and Web for a few months for other profile information.

"This feature provides an easy way for friends to ask you for information that's not already on your profile," Facebook spokeswoman MoMo Zhou said in an e-mail.

Personally, I'm not in favor with this new "ask" button, since in extreme cases creates cyber-bullying.

Russia upset over reported Hitler comment

(CNN) - Russia hit back at Prince Charles after reports emerged that the heir to the British throne compared Russian President Vladimir Putin to Adolf Hitler.

According to the Daily Mail newspaper, a woman claims Charles made the offhand comment during a tour Monday of the Canadian Museum of Immigration in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

"I would like to say that if these words were truly spoken, then without a doubt, they do not reflect well on the future British monarch," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said Thursday.

Its amazing how several decades afyer Hitler's death, he is still creating controversy with what he did in life.

World's biggest democracy elects new leader

New Delhi (CNN) - Narendra Modi, the leader of the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party, claimed victory as India's next Prime Minister on Friday, bringing to power a man whose controversial past at one point led the United States to deny him a visa.

Official results show his party winning at least 275 of 543 parliamentary seats, bringing a clear majority, according to the India Election Commission.

It's the first time in three decades that India's 540 million voters delivered a resounding mandate to a single party to rule the world's second-most populous nation.

Fractured electoral verdicts leading to coalition governments had been common in India since 1989.

Manmohan Singh, India's outgoing Prime Minister, called Modi to congratulate him on his "party's victory," said Singh's Twitter page.

In the last days, India elected a new leader. Indians are confident on his experience and they say he might be the one who brings the country's name high. The majority of the population voted for him, situation that doesn't happen that often.

No imminent execution for Christian in Sudan

(CNN) - Meriam Yehya Ibrahim faces a death sentence in Sudan for apostasy after a court ruled she converted from Islam.

Now the 27-year-old Christian woman, a wife and mother expecting another child, embarks on a long and unpredictable legal journey.

A variety of factors -- Sudan's legal system, differences between its constitution and Sharia law imposed by the sentencing judge, her pregnancy -- ensure there will no execution any time soon.

Ibrahim's lawyer argues the sentence should not stand, and an international outcry could pressure Sudan's government to intervene.

Even if the sentence stands, Sharia law as practiced in Sudan prohibits carrying out the death sentence on an expectant woman until two years after she gives birth.

This is a great example of strong convictions. She and his boy/girl from which she is pregnant, are a steep close to death. Even though she's being sentenced to death, she says she'll never deny her Christian beliefs.

Brazil wrestles with crack epidemic

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (CNN) - It's called "cracolandia" -- crackland -- where drug users crouch underneath plastic tarps and shuffle down a dimly lit road like modern-day zombies.

One young woman in jean shorts wanders by, pushing a baby carriage piled high with garbage. There are stacks of disposable plastic water cups used as improvised crack pipes.

Brazil has surpassed the United States as the world's No.1 consumer of crack cocaine, according to the Federal University of Sao Paulo. It shares borders with the world's biggest cocaine-producing countries -- Colombia, Peru and Bolivia. Strong economic growth has meant more disposable income for everything from microwave ovens to drugs.

There's nothing left than pray for this beautiful country. Instead of criticiIng this people, we should therefore treat them with love, maybe that's what they lack and go to the streets. Brazil for Christ!!!!

Amnesty: Nigeria knew of Boko Haram

Abuja, Nigeria (CNN) - What did the Nigerian government know about the mass abduction of schoolgirls by Boko Haram militants, and when did it know it?

Those are the tough questions being asked after an explosive report made public Friday accused Nigerian military commanders of knowing the terror group was on its way to raid a boarding school in the town of Chibok at least four hours before 276 girls were abducted.

The findings by human rights group Amnesty International echo accounts of a number of the parents and villagers, who have described to CNN an ineffective military response in the days and weeks after the girls were abducted.

This cruel abductiontragedy has traveled al the world wide. Everyone one know about this awful situation, since it is in every social network. I like the attitude the people is taking concerning the tragedy, since everyone is posting pictures with the TT #Returnourgirls claiming mercy from the Boko.

Thomas Piketty: the French economist bringing capitalism to book

It was around 7.50 on Thursday morning when it became clear that Thomas Piketty had gone viral. Forget topping the bestseller lists. Forget the praise heaped on him by Paul Krugman. Never mind the hundreds of thousands of times his name is Googled. When Piketty was namechecked on Thought for the Day, he stopped being a modest 42-year-old French economist and went mainstream.

In case you haven't noticed, Piketty's Capital in the Twenty-First Century is a publishing sensation. It has already sold 200,000 copies, making it the 50 Shades of Grey of economics books. It is being reviewed on the internet by supporters and critics who self-evidently have not read all of its 577 pages. And it has jolted the right, who are scrabbling around for an answer to its main message: rising inequality is killing capitalism.

I think there's more to Capital than that. It is a big book in every sense of the word, using empirical evidence from 30 countries to describe how capitalism has evolved over the past 300 years and is now reverting to what Piketty calls the Downton Abbey world of a century ago.

Nigeria: 223 kidnapped girls still missing

(CNN) - Nigerian authorities specified Friday that a total of 276 schoolgirls were taken last month by militants from a boarding school, but 53 of them escaped, leaving 223 still in the hands of their captors, police said.

We see all around the world how criminality is eventually growing. This increase leads us to remember that we are living the last days. Only in God's presence we are safe and confident to have eternal life.

The Unlikely Friendship of Rabbi Marc Schneier + Imam Shamsi Ali Read more: The Unlikely Friendship of Rabbi Marc Schneier + Imam Shamsi Ali

By Lorena O'neal

Why you should care
As Israel and Palestine peace talks halt, these men want Muslims and Jews to remember that sometimes your most bitter enemy can become your most faithful friend.

It was distrust at first sight for Rabbi Marc Schneier and Imam Shamsi Ali when they met in Manhattan in 2005.

They were both being interviewed by CBS about Pope John Paul II’s interfaith outreach, following his death. They looked at each other, shook hands and felt mutually uncomfortable in their interactions.

“I’d grown up in an environment as an Orthodox Jew where Muslims were the enemy, Muslims were to be denomized, Muslims were not to be trusted,” says Schneier, 55. “I clearly brought to the table many biases, prejudices, prejudgments.”

It's nice how they both share many moments together, but the problem is that they'll be constantly trying to change each others' perspective about their religious worldview.

Memories of students lost in ferry disaster

CNN

Jin Woo-hyuk had a pimple on his forehead. He was skinny and wore braces.

When divers found the teenager's body in the submerged ship, he was wearing a pair of jeans and a light green hoodie.

The simple, human details about Woo-hyuk are noted on a whiteboard, which catalogues descriptions of the bodies recovered from the sunken ferry Sewol.

Some of the victims, still unidentified, are known just by a number.

The tragic event that occured  in South Korea, has been known world-wide. It's sad to read the stories of these students that died in the ferry. Sometimes I wonder if they received Christ as their Saviour. Our job is to share His good news with everyone, since we don't know when they might die.

U.S. Navy picks up 1-year-old who became sick at sea

(CNN) -- A 1-year-old girl who became seriously ill on a sailboat hundreds of miles off Mexico was on a U.S. Navy frigate Sunday and in stable condition, the U.S. Coast Guard said.
Her parents thanked those who played a part in their rescue.
"We are very thankful to be safe and well. We also appreciate all the concern, thoughts and prayers of everyone back home for the health of our daughter Lyra. She is doing well now, and her medical condition continues to improve," Eric and Charlotte Kaufman said in a statement.
They defended themselves against critics who question their decision to sail with their family.
"Please know that this is how our family has lived for seven years, and when we departed on this journey more than a year ago, we were then and remain today confident that we prepared as well as any sailing crew could," they wrote.
"The ocean is one of the greatest forces of nature, and it always has the potential to overcome those who live on or near it.

The U.S. Navy did an excellent job by helping this poor family´s child, they accomplished what they are called to do: serve others. The ocean is one of the greatest mysteries God created, we don´t know where the waves come from neither where they go. We should respect the since, since God gave it great power.

Lesbians' baby baptized by Catholic Church in Argentina

Umma Azul, whose godmother is the county's President, on Saturday became the first child of a lesbian couple to be baptized by the Catholic Church in Argentina.
Carina Villarroel and Soledad Ortiz asked Archbishop Carlos Jose Nanez for the blessing, according to national news agency Telam. The bishop reportedly said their marital status has no bearing on the child.
A priest performed the baptism at the cathedral in Cordoba, Telam said.
Same-sex marriage has been legal in Argentina since 2010, but is not sanctioned by the Catholic Church.
President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, the baby girl's official godmother, could not attend but sent a representative, according to Telam.
Ortiz had personally asked the President to be the godmother "because it is a way to thank her and former President Nestor Kirchner for that law that gave us rights," she said.
Ortiz told reporters that "now we hope to get married by the church and we will fight for that."
Argentina is home to Pope Francis. Last summer, he told the media aboard a flight to Rome, "Who am I to judge" gay people?

I am not against the Roman Catholic Church, but I do am against the action they did by baptizing that kid. The Church is no place for dimishing a gay couple, but what I think is that by this action they would start receiving strong critics and many people weak on their faith, may not accept it.

Controversial Biblical Movies

2014 promises a number of epic tales from the Bible, the latest being "Noah," starring Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly (out March 28). But not everyone is happy with the depictions in faith-based films. While "Noah" makes clear it's merely "inspired by" the Biblical story, that hasn't stopped the outpouring of concern and anger from those sensitive to the source material. Even before "Noah" hit theaters, it was banned in several Middle Eastern countries for contradicting the teachings of Islam with its portrayal of a prophet.

Before having seing the movie, we can't assume what the movie us trying to portray; therefore, I can't comment since I haven't seen it yet. It can't be absolutely as the Bible story, I'm sure it has some slight differences but as long as they don't add something the Bible doesn't say, there's not problem.

Russia might invade Ukraine

A new classified intelligence assessment concludes it is more likely than previously thought that Russian forces will enter eastern Ukraine, CNN has learned. Two administration officials described the assessment but declined to be identified due to the sensitive nature of the information. The officials emphasized that nothing is certain, but there have been several worrying signs in the past three to four days.“This has shifted our thinking that the likelihood of a further Russian incursion is more probable than it was previously thought to be,” one official said. The buildup is seen to be reminiscent of Moscow’s military moves before it went into Chechnya and Georgia in both numbers of units and their capabilities.U.S. military and intelligence officials have briefed Congress on the assessment.

Maybe this problem seems small, but if it continues developing it can turn into a Civil War, but we should pray for that not to happen. Russia is seriously concidering invading Ukraine; therefore, they should be alert for any hint of invasion.

Rape as a Weapon in Syria

A pervasive pattern of rapes has been documented in Syria that is leading not only to the destruction of communities and families and displacement, but also to incalculable despair on the personal level. Frequently, women and girls who are raped face familial and social rejection, severe and sometimes incurable injuries, and unwanted pregnancies.
Further, the ability of impregnated rape victims to receive all necessary medical care is thwarted by United States abortion restrictions on humanitarian aid to Syria and surrounding countries. This results in the denial of safe abortion services, and victims sometimes resort to unsafe abortion and even suicide.
The media can help by pointing out the use of rape as a weapon of war wherever it occurs.

We are evidently living in the "last days" because now we can see human´s depravation growing stronger each day. We can´t prevent bad things to happen, but what we can do is pray for those people suffering from rape.

China has new images showing object in southern Indian Ocean

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (CNN) -- China announced that it has satellite images of a large object floating in the search area for the missing Malaysia Airlines plane, but Australian-led search teams found no sign of it Saturday.
Another day of intense searches by air and sea concluded for the night with no new clues to give families answers about the fate of the passengers and crew.
The object the Chinese photographed is 22.5 meters long and 13 meters wide (74 feet by 43 feet), officials said.
China said the satellite images showing the "suspected floating object" were captured four days ago, on March 18.

While I was reading the news, I found out that countries from central Asia to Australia are also engaged in the search along an arc drawn by authorities based on satellite pings received from the plane hours after it dissapeared.
"We intend to continue the search until we are absolutely satisfied that further searching would be futile, and that day is not in sight," the deputy prime minister said. "We will continue the effort, we'll continue to liaise with our international allies in this search."
As everytime, there´s also people who distort the information by trying to prove this objects were ovnis.

Six dead in China stabbing spree

Six people died after an argument between two vendors led to a stabbing spree at a market in .Hunan province in central China on Friday morning

People keep dying in China for ridiculous aspects such as the one mentioned before, but the root problem I believe is their lack of Christ's love. We are not perfect, but without him we are worst. This rash of violence will stop until we search more about him with our open hearts.

Airplanes "dissapeared"

While such situations are rare, the puzzling disappearance of Malaysia Flight 370 is not the first time a plane has vanished without a trace. Here are some cases of mysterious plane disappearances and disasters. Some remain unsolved, decades later.

2014: Malaysia Airlines Flight 370The Boeing 777 passenger jet vanished early Saturday, about an hour into its flight from the Malaysian capital to Beijing. There was no distress call before contact with it was lost over the sea between Malaysia and Vietnam. Search teams from various nations are combing the waters on the Malay Peninsula for traces of it, but so far, nothing has been found. The mystery over the fate of the jet and the 239 people aboard has baffled government officials and aviation experts.2009: Air France Flight 447The Airbus A330 took off from Rio de Janeiro en route to Paris on May 31, 2009. A few hours later, as it crossed the Atlantic, it told control center its position. That was the last contact with the plane. Its last known position -- two to four days by ship from the nearest ports -- and the ocean's depth hindered searches. It took almost two years before the bulk of the wreckage, the majority of bodies, and the voice and data recorders were recovered. All 228 aboard died.In 2012, French authorities said ice crystals disrupted the system used to determine the plane's airspeed, causing the autopilot to disconnect. The plane plunged into the ocean.

Personally, I don't believe that much in these theories. How could a gigantic metal piece dissapear in the nothing? They also relate this "mysteries"to ovnis, which I also dissagre with. We should only trust God, He is the only One who know everything.

Two abortion clinics closed in Texas

People, have you noticed that the news has been really depressing lately? These are the times when you come to understand why there’s so much interest in watching kitten videos. Do you think it’s the weather?
Consider Texas, where two more abortion clinics were forced to close this week. If the courts don’t intervene, by the end of the year Texas may be down to six places where a woman can go to end a pregnancy. That’s in a state of 268,000 square miles, with 26 million people.

I feel glad about the initiation Texas is taking concerning abortion. Even though two is a little number comaring all the clinics used to abort, it may mark the beginning of a new time.

Disturbing tales emerge from Crimea

(CNN) - Unidentified men attack journalists, brandishing guns, and snatch cameras. Local television channels are suddenly blocked or replaced. An international news organization is told by a hotel manager to stop broadcasting.

  • These are just some tales from the field in Crimea, the embattled Ukrainian peninsula that's at the heart of the struggle between Moscow, Kiev and the West.

Personally, I'm realy worried about the situation in Kiev. Instead of getting better, it gets worse. As Christians, we should be constantly praying for them.

21 dead in Japan from virus spread by mites

Authorities in Japan are warning people about deadly poisonous mites. The cause for concern is the SFTS virus.

SFTS is an abbreviation for severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome, and it's every bit as gruesome as its name implies. Aside from the obvious fever, symptoms include vomiting and diarrhea, and in more advanced cases lowered white blood cell and platelet counts, organ failure, and even death.

The majority of SFTS cases so far have been in China, which is also where researchers first isolated the virus in 2009. A recent outbreak has occurred in west Japan, however, with 53 people reported as having been infected so far, with 21 losing their lives to the syndrome's effects.

The vector through which the contamination is spreading has been reported to be tick bites.

I've always think how a microscopic particle can create such a big deal concerning health. Japanese authorities should act immediately if they want to avoid more live losts.

Situation in Ukraine

(CNN) - The world's eyes may have been focused on the breathtakingly fast political changes unfolding in Ukraine's capital Kiev this week, but it is the Crimean peninsula, where dozens of gunmen raised the Russian flag over parliament Thursday, that should now be the primary source of concern for Ukraine's fledgling government and world leaders.

Crimea is an autonomous republic whose history has long been marred by political tension. Gifted to Ukraine by Soviet Union leader Nikita Khrushchev in 1954, its population is ethnic Russian by just over half and Ukrainian by a quarter, while more than ten percent are Crimean Tatars who are fiercely anti-Russian as a result of Joseph Stalin's repression of the group a half century ago.

The situation in Ukraine, specially in Kiev, is critic. Insted of getting to an accord to stop the disturbances, they are not solving anything. As Chriatians, our obligation is to be constantly praying for them. Until they turn their eyes to Christ, their sitution will remain unchanged.

Children in pollution zone Delhi have the lungs of chain-smokers!

Delhi has turned into a pollution zone so deadly that children in the Capital have the lungs of chain-smokers, and all the associated respiratory ailments. Living and breathing in Delhi is taking years off their lives, and marking what is left with bronchitis, asthma, sinusitis, coughs, colds and all kinds of chest and throat infections. Faced with a relentlessly increasing number of children and infants developing respiratory diseases, doctors have sounded the alarm in the Capital.

This condition in Delhi, is evidently influencing not only the smokers but also the nonsmokers. Persobally, I perceive this act as selfish since the smokers don't care if they are affecting others with their own actions. It's not fair for the people who take care of their health, to be contaminated with a smoke they are not responsible for. As the Bible says, we should take care of our body since it is the temple of the Holy Ghost.

Uncertainty in Ukraine after landmark deal

Kiev, Ukraine (CNN) - Three months of political unrest, one week of horrific internecine violence, a few frenetic hours of negotiations -- it all culminated in a breakthrough deal In Ukraine to cut the president's powers, reinvent the Constitution and pave the way to free a key opposition leader.

This drastic situation is affecting not only Kiev, but also the near countries. It resembles in many ways the struggle in Venezuela, with the difference that Ukrain is experiencing a harsher situation. In this moments, only God can get them out from this situation. Without God's help, we are lost!

Gaza fisherman hooks statue of ancient Greek god Apollo

Gaza (CNN) -- When Jwdat Abu Ghrb spotted a dark shape last summer in the waters off Gaza, where he was diving for fish, he initially thought it was a corpse.
"I was afraid," he told CNN. "I put on my goggles, dove underneath and still couldn't tell what it was. I resurfaced and got some help from other people and family members and came back, and after full four hours of trying we managed to get it out of the water and I was shocked by what I found."
It was a life-size bronze statue, believed to be a 2,500-year-old depiction of the ancient Greek god Apollo.
He described the half-ton object as "treasure pulled out of the sea."
"I thought it was made of gold; I was going to be rich," Ghrb said. "So I took it home to hide it."
But then others got involved. A local armed brigade took control of the statue, and someone listed it for sale on the online auction site eBay, with a starting price of about $500,000, according to authorities.

It´s interesting how this statue lasted for so long without being ruined and founded approximately 2500 years later. Events like this help history to be more vivid, since we an appreciate with our own eyes, a piece o Greek culture.

Mystery of Mars 'doughnut rock' solved

Scientists are baffled by the sudden appearance of a jelly doughnut-like rock that the Opportunity rover spotted in January 2014. These are images of the same location; the rock on the right was not there 12 days earlier. Researchers now believe the rover's wheels flicked the rock into its current spot.

Psalms 19:1 says "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." Recently, scientists were amazed when they found a jelly-doughnut like rock. In my concern, they shouldn´t be investigating that much every new thing they discover, since the Universe is full of mysteries that only God knows.

Sarah Palin for president? Media debate whether she’ll make a political comeback

Bill Kristol stirred up a bit of a fuss yesterday by declaring that there’s no reason Sarah Palin shouldn’t run for president. Kristol, whose Weekly Standard was a major Palin booster in 2008, didn’t predict she would win, but he said she'd have a major impact on the race.
Kristol, a former Fox News contributor, also forecast on “Morning Joe” that two other Fox contributors would run: Mike Huckabee and former U.N ambassador John Bolton. (Both have said they’re looking at the race.)
I have no inside information here, but Palin certainly wouldn’t lack for media attention. Kristol, who worked in the Bush 41 White House, is a well-connected Republican, and if this was a trial balloon, it raises intriguing questions.
On the MSNBC morning show, Chuck Todd pushed back, saying that if Palin ran it would be for “a financial reason, to get back into the spotlight. Get the speaking fees back up.”
This annoyed Kristol, who said that the establishment takes seriously such candidates as Jon Huntsman (who flopped), but dismisses the likes of Palin and Huckabee as people who “just want to make money.” Host Joe Scarborough (also named by Kristol as a 2016 dark horse) said Palin’s populist message could resonate in the GOP primaries but that she hurt herself by resigning as Alaska governor.
There are, of course, multiple reasons that folks jump into a White House race, from increased visibility to boosting career prospects to positioning for a VP slot. Just ask Herman Cain, Michele Bachmann, Dennis Kucinich, Al Sharpton and many others.
Palin has a passionate following among Tea Party types, but she would also expose herself again to mockery from the mainstream media. She would have to decide whether the grueling nature of a campaign is worth giving up her television gigs.
Much of this talk is being spurred by the Christie vacuum in the wake of the bridge scandal. Even Mitt Romney, who’s been on the TV circuit after that favorable Netflix documentary, is being asked whether he’d give it a third try. His answer is no way.
There is chatter now about other governors, such as Scott Walker. Perhaps the most important name on Kristol’s list is Jeb Bush, who says he is looking at the race but won’t decide soon. The media would immediately treat Bush as a heavyweight and he would in effect become the establishment candidate.
The dilemma for the former Florida governor is that he has openly questioned how far to the right his party has moved. He would be, fairly or not, saddled with defending his brother’s presidential record. And, by the way, Bush’s own mother doesn’t want him to run.
In The Week, Damon Linker all but declares the primaries over:
“It's beginning to dawn on me that Jeb Bush is probably going to be the Republican Party's nominee for president in 2016.

My opinion is that she should be chosen according to her professional skills, not beacuse she has had familiy members in politics or what others comment about her.

Sochi 2014 begins with teams, classical music and a flying girl

With lights, floats and flying, Russia kicked off the opening ceremony in Sochi as the world turns its attention to the costliest Olympic Games in history.
Spectators from all over the world watched the introduction of athletes that marked the official start of the Winter Olympics.
"Most of the ceremony focuses heavily on Russian classical music," said Konstantin Ernst, the main creative producer of the ceremony.
"Unfortunately, unlike London, we cannot boast a plethora of famous world-known pop performers. This is why we are now focusing on what Russia is best known for musically around the world; namely, classical music."

Russia´s amazing history was showed off since the very first second the opening ceremony began. They´ve surpassed every obstacle and make their beautiful country, the most appealing country.

No drugs found in Justin Bieber's plane ib N.J.

A private airplane connected to pop star Justin Bieber was held and searched on Friday at New Jersey's Teterboro Airport, but no contraband was found, law enforcement sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to NBC News.
Bieber was on board the plane, which arrived at Teterboro from Toronto. Officials told NBC News that they executed their authority to conduct a border search because the plane entered from Canada and there was suspicion that there was marijuana on board.
Bieber, 19, has spent the last month dealing with police in several U.S. cities and in his home country of Canada. On Jan. 23, he was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida on DUI, resisting arrest, and driving with an expired license charges following an alleged drag racing incident. A toxicology report showed he had marijuana and Xanax in his system when he was arrested.

EU official meets Ukraine's Yanukovych amid protest stalemate

Kiev, Ukraine (CNN) -- A senior European Union official met with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych on Friday, amid an uneasy political stalemate after days of clashes between police and protesters.
Opposition leaders have demanded the resignation of the government and early elections.
Yanukovych's presidential website reported his meeting with Commissioner for EU Enlargement Stefan Fule but gave no detail of what was discussed.
Boxer-turned-opposition leader Vitali Klitschko said outside mediation was needed if any progress is to be made in talks between the opposition and government.
"International mediators must be involved in any discussion of the crisis in Ukraine," he said.

Here is an informational war going on. Most of commentaries on this news don't even show that modern Ukraine was created by Lenin, and that being 'slave' in USSR ment making rockets, building nuclear carriers and being more prosperous then the rest of the country.
22 years of independence, and we see the richest republic of USSR close to economical collapse, choosing it's master, who would agree to pay for 'Freedom'.

Goldie Hawn: Troubles of young stars like Justin Bieber 'heartbreaking'

(CNN) -- Actress Goldie Hawn says world leaders are discovering how "mindfulness" helps with stress -- but that she despairs at seeing young stars like Justin Bieber struggling to deal with fame.
Hawn explained how she believed a healthy mind could lead to healthy decision making."When the brain is silent, the executive function, which is this part of the brain that makes decisions can work much better. So when you get quiet you make better decisions, you're also more rested -- you're not as reactive," she said. "So it's actually great for the economy, great for our leadership and our thought leaders." When asked about Justin Bieber, the Canadian pop star facing allegations of driving under the influence and drag racing, Hawn said his situation was "heartbreaking."

JB´s was recently emprisoned. Is not that I am glad for that, but it´s already time for he to think about what´s he´s doing with his life. He´s more lost than a needle in a haystack. he urgently need´s God´s Word and accept God´s unending love.

Controversial execution in Ohio uses new drug combination

(CNN) -- Ohio inmate Dennis McGuire appeared to gasp and convulse for roughly 10 minutes before he died Thursday by lethal injection using a new combination of drugs, reporters who witnessed it said.
McGuire was convicted in 1994 of the rape and murder of 22-year-old Joy Stewart, who was seven months pregnant. Her relatives were at Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville to witness his death, according to tweets from television reporter Sheila Gray.
McGuire's "children and daughter-in-law were crying and visibly upset," Gray tweeted.
She said McGuire, before the drugs took effect, thanked Stewart's family for a letter he apparently received.
"To my children, I'm sorry. I love you. I'm going to heaven and I'll see you there when you come," McGuire reportedly said, according to CNN affiliate WDTN.
Columbus Dispatch reporter Alan Johnson said that the whole execution process took 24 minutes, and that McGuire appeared to be gasping for air for 10 to 13 minutes.
"He gasped deeply. It was kind of a rattling, guttural sound. There was kind of a snorting through his nose. A couple of times, he definitely appeared to be choking," WDTN quoted Johnson as saying.

Personally, I am not in favor with execution, since God is the giver and taker of our lives. This misfortune that happened to Mr. McGuire, I wouldn´t wish it to anyone. He suffered more than the letal injection should have taken to kill him. It´s sad to know about her family´s lost, but what´s even worse is that we are not sure if he accept Christ as his Savior. Even though he did many awful things in his past, if he genuinely asked for forgiveness, God is mercyful.

Winner of black rhino hunting auction gets $350,000

Dallas (CNN) -- Corey Knowlton is on edge sitting inside a Las Vegas hotel room, surrounded by a private security detail, explaining why he spent $350,000 for the chance to hunt a black rhinoceros in the southern African nation of Namibia.
"If I sound emotional, it's because I have people threatening my kids," Knowlton told CNN. "It's because I have people threatening to kill me right now [that] I'm having to talk to the FBI and have private security to keep my children from being skinned alive and shot at."
Knowlton was outed over social media as the winner of the Dallas Safari Club's auction for a black rhino hunting permit from the Namibian government last weekend. It didn't take long for the threats and vitriol to start pouring in.
"You are a BARBARIAN. People like you need to be the innocent that are hunted," posted one woman on Knowlton's Facebook page.
Some sounded even more sinister. "I find you and I will KILL you," read another threat. "I have friends who live in the area and will have you in there sights also," wrote another commenter.

Rhinos are considered a specie in danger of extinction; therefore, if my opinion is not nule, it shouldn´t be legal the practice of this activity. They are living creatures and they have the right to live. I´ve always considered myself a defensor of animals and seeing all this cruel murders makes me think about how everything would change if we get up to a point in which many animals extinct.

Berlusconi's step-dog joins Italian campaign against illegal New Year fireworks

Italy's most famous pet, Dudu the poodle, is urging Italians to stop the New Year's Eve practice of setting off powerful fireworks which kill and wound several every year.

The annual campaign to stop Italians letting off frequently fatal fireworks on New Year’s Eve has found a unusual new front man in Dudu, the fluffy poodle belonging to Silvio Berlusconi’s fiancée.

It would be a good idea that campaigns like this were practiced in my country, Honduras, since every Christmas many innocent children die or get wound beacause of the irresponsible use of fireworks. The kids have not the fault, parents do. How can a kid be left alone with this powerful things? If parents would be more responsible at the time their children use fireworks, tragic deaths in kids wouldn't be so often in our country.

Teen dies stopping suicide bomber at school in Pakistan

A 14 year old boy is now considered a hero after having saved many many of his classmates when a bomb was placed in their school. The ninthgrader Aitazaz Hassan, tackled the suicide bomber; but sadly he was killed while trying to stop the bomber from detoning the bomb. The bomber was wearing their same school uniform, that's why he entered the school freely. He also died during the fight with Aitazaz.

Personally, I feel very sad for this young Pakistan boy even though I didn't know him. I'm not sure if he was a Christian, but by the attitude he assumed toward his classmates, he demonstrates how much he cared for others, up to a point in which he gave his life for them. It's really sad to hear about these people trying to detone bombs with the purpose of killing innocent children and teens. They really need to hear about God's Word, since pmaybe they've never heard about His unending love. This people urgently need someone to care about them; the only One who could change their lives, is Christ!
